With exciting times ahead at Bookworm Translations, we decided to hold an open evening to celebrate our move to our new office in Planetree House on Oldham Street last Friday, 12th September.
Arriving early evening, guests were treated to a selection of red and white wines as well as a Mediterranean buffet catering to all tastes. Conversation flowed amongst the guests as the evening moved from the office onto the rooftop terrace, making the most of a warm evening in Manchester city centre.
The evening was a great opportunity for those at Bookworm Translations to put names to faces of their current freelance translators, getting to know each other a little better. The attendance of members of the Manchester University Press and Comma Press was hugely encouraging as Bookworm continues to strengthen its relationships with local publishers. Guests were able to find out more about Bookworm Translations, talking to company founder Elise Kendall about current projects and future plans.
Elise and Bookworm Translations would like to say a big thank you to all of those who attended the open evening and to the translators, interpreters and local publishing houses who came together to show support for Bookworm Translations’ next chapter in their new Manchester office.
