We recently asked our translators to send us their picture as we realised that most of these hard working individuals, while being our main asset, usually work on a freelance basis and are therefore hidden from our clients. Below are the pictures we received, but these are by no means all our registered freelance translators—they just give you a quick overview of the number of languages they speak, and shows our clients what a lovely bunch they are with it!
These translators have an impressive breadth of language skills and market knowledge in various sectors, including but not limited to: finance, IT, literature, art, architecture, law, manufacturing, websites, marketing…
If you want to find out more about any of them, please either give us a call on +44(0)161 833 0907 or drop us a line: email@example.com and we will send you their CVs.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to discuss your translation project, either by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone: +44(0)161 943 1593.
We look forward to doing business with you soon!
Elise Kendall – Director (French & English)
Elise studied French and Art History at the University of Liverpool and received a 2:1 with Distinction in 2002. She also holds a Masters in Translation and Interpreting Studies from the University of Manchester, and is awaiting the results of the DipTrans exams. Professionally, Elise has been working for a variety of companies both in France and the UK including LVMH (www.lvmh.fr), CMP Entertainment (www.cmpentertainment.com) and BDP (www.bdp.com) doing commercial translations and interpreting.
Elise carried out a number of literary translations as part of her Masters, and set up this company with a view to creating a professional translation company which specialises in literature. Over time, this has grown to other specialist areas such as legal translations, commercial translations, scientific translations and website translations. Elise has lived in both France and the UK for over 14 years respectively and therefore has a good knowledge of both English and French language and culture, which is vital if translations, especially literary ones, are to be carried out proficiently.
Elise lives in Manchester (UK) and is currently working for a number of clients, including Agence Samm Web in France (http://www.sammagenceweb.com/) and Building Design Partnership (www.bdp.com) in the UK, supplying translations and managing projects from start to finish. As the company’s main director, she also spends much of her time trying to grow the business and ensuring that the level of service received by Bookworm Translations’ clients is second to none. Please drop Elise a line if you would like more information about the company and its services: email@example.com.
